Our covid passports were checked and we were offered a nice table in front of the fire. We went third time yesterday (January 22), it was a cold winter day and we were in the area and we really fancied a nice warm bowl of soup.

It looked sad and unappealing and I had to leave it untouched. As I am vegetarian, I had to wait to be served a plate of spaghetti hoops or something that looked like that. stater was served to share with another person and it was just deep fried party food and then we had a canteen kind of experience where you had to queue to be offered christmas dinner. My second time was for a work event as a group of 80+ work colleagues. who are extremelly unfussy and very happy with the basic pub grab, didn't like it and hid unfinished food underneath the napkin. Food was inedible, even my parents in law. First time we were celebrating as a group for my mother-in-law's birthday in September 2020. I have been to the Rabbit 3 times since it has been bought over. I though a lot about writing this review. However we had a very pleasant evening and were able to stay in our seats long after we had eaten which meant we could enjoy a good catch up.

Crumble topping should be baked and crumbly not like flowing sugar, ice cream delicious though. Very disappointed with my choice of apple and cinnamon crumble, no taste from very mushy apples and topping was just not right. My fellow diners also enjoyed their choices. Having said that the food was lovely, my burger beautifully cooked and very tasty. We ordered and food arrived in less than 10 minutes which seems wonderful but a bit like a fast food restaurant. Proper menus are more “classy “for want of better description. I think this needs to be reviewed as it doesn’t make you feel as if you are in a luxurious environment. The menu can only be viewed online which is annoying and if. On arrival lovely warm fire welcomed us in and we were shown to our table fairly promptly. First time here since taken over by Galgorm group. Visited Rabbit Hotel for meal with friends.
